LZ’s story
"With a CV now including more work experience they feel like they’re moving forward."
AC said she was “delighted with the news” and even sent a joyful, smiling selfie to the recruiter as a show of gratitude and excitement.
AC* had been working with Working Well Trust Kingston to find a job where she could ensure reasonable adjustments to support her learning disability. AC and her employment support worker quickly identified her dream role of theme park performer and while she had some experience in performing for charities Alice wanted to find a more permanent role.
AC and her employment support worker made contact with a theme park and they were invited to a meeting. Her experience with shows and her bright, sunny personality, spoke for themselves and they were delighted to take her on for the summer season’s shows.
At the same time, AC’s motivation and her employment support worker’s continual engagement with employers also secured her a paid stint with Peer Productions this month, touring Junior Schools and acting as she has always dreamed. AC said she was “delighted with the news” – and even sent a joyful, smiling selfie to the recruiter as a show of gratitude and excitement.
