This statement is made on behalf of the national charity, Working Well Trust. As a charity, we recognise the potential modern slavery risks and therefore have in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in the organisation – and that in so far as possible, our suppliers hold the same ethos.
Across the organisation, we support adults in their recovery from mental health: to be understood, valued and to have a positive experience of the employment. We support individuals who are neuro-diverse and have disabilities find employment, volunteering and training that is meaningful to them.
As an organisation we value diversity, champion equality and actively challenge discrimination. We recognise the severity that is the global problem of slavery and human trafficking. We are resolutely committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our corporate activities, and to ensuring that users of our services and suppliers within our supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.
Our organisational policies include direct reference to issues relating to modern slavery, including safeguarding, whistleblowing, complaints, dignity at work, and procurement. Staff at Working Well Trust are directly employed by the charity, and are not in any category which is generally seen to be vulnerable to modern slavery in the UK.
This statement is made voluntarily, in support of the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It has been approved by the management committee of Working Well Trust and signed by the Chief Executive Officer on their behalf.
