Claire is the Operations Manager of our IPS Tower Hamlets and WorkWise services for the boroughs of both Newham and Barking & Dagenham. These services provide employment support for people with mental health conditions, accessing secondary mental health care across these boroughs. Claire supports these teams to ensure that the clients they work with are assisted into paid employment and receive in-work support when starting their position.

As the Senior Employment Specialist Jade is based at Tower Hamlets Early Intervention Service where she supports individuals who fall under the Early Intervention criteria to pursue employment. On top of employment support Jade also manages members of the Tower Hamlets team and support to the IPS Operations Manager in their role.

Colin is the Senior Employment Specialist integrated within the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team in Bethnal Green, supporting people to find meaningful paid employment following the IPS model. Colin works to build ongoing relationships with local businesses, as well as working closely with the NMHT, focussing on the individual’s strengths and interests to support them into work in an area that best fits for them, and provide further ongoing support to help maintain their role once started. In addition, Colin also manages members of the Tower Hamlets team and provide support to the Team Lead and IPS Operations Manager in their roles.

Maria is an IPS Employment Specialist based in the Isle of Dogs Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. Working with clients who have and/or are experiencing mental health difficulties, supporting their recovery and well-being through employment. Their work involves helping clients from their career choices to writing CVs, cover letters, applications and interview preparation. This can extend to In-work support once clients have secured employment. Maria also engages with employers to broker job opportunities, support both employer and client in their professional relationship and provide them with information and advice around mental health in the workplace.

Nishat is an IPS Employment Specialist based at Mile End Hospital, working with the Tower Hamlets Psychological Therapies Service (PTS) and the DeanCross Personality Disorder Service. Isabel works closely with clients to explore career aspirations, develop practical job-seeking skills, and navigate workplace challenges. Hassan, is the service lead for the In-Work Service which aims to help clients to maintain employment as key enabler to supporting recovery and good mental health and also supporting employers to effectively support and manage staff impacted by mental health challenges by sharing and supporting the use of best practice guidance. The service lead involve managing and having overall oversight of the service to ensure its quality and effectiveness, line managing staff and supporting a caseload of clients and employers.

I’m Angus, and I’m the newest addition to the In-work Service Team. Primarily, we help clients with mental health concerns who have run into difficulty with their employment. Faisal is the Business Advisor in Tower Hamlets, providing expert guidance to individuals exploring self-employment, launching a new venture, or developing their existing business. With experience running a successful international business until the pandemic, he brings first-hand entrepreneurial insight to his advisory work. Alongside his role at WWT, Faisal works as a qualified psychotherapist in the NHS and has trained in organisational consulting, enabling him to equip clients with the mental tools to navigate the challenges of business and leadership. Working with the Workwise team in Newham across several mental health teams in the borough. Chloe utilises her personal experience of mental health issues to help clients in their personalised job search to find meaningful work they want to do and supporting them to overcome any perceived barriers to employment. Her role also includes working with employers and clinical teams to spread the word about IPS and its benefits to recovery through networking within the local community.
