Having recently moved to London Mia was referred to our Enfield Connect to Work service looking for support navigating London’s competitive job market.
Experiencing anxiety and depression as well as being partially sighted she was keen to find an administrative role that would make the most of her skills and experience.
Working with her Employment Specialist they created an action plan which included advice on how to tailor Mia’s CV, create an engaging cover letter and practical techniques for job interviews.
Together Mia and her ES discussed reasonable adjustments for interviews and the best way to communicate this to employers including requiring a specific PC monitor adapted to her needs.
After supporting Mia with several applications and job interviews she finally secured a paraplanning and compliance administrator role with a financial planning company in one of London’s business districts. Our Connect to Work team continues to support Mia as she settles into the new role and we wish her the best of luck!
