Recently our Tower Hamlets team reached out to Elop a LGBTQIA+ charity, to explore the potential of working together. The team was invited to their monthly community forum to discuss the issue of Employment
At the forum our Employment Specialists hosted a talk sharing examples of clients we’ve previously supported and covering topics such as:
*Legal rights at work
*Reasonable adjustments
*Disclosure,
*Wellbeing at work,
*Employment considerations for people seeking asylum or requiring visa sponsorship.
Taking part in a group discussion the team heard from attendees as they shared their workplace experiences as LGBTQIA+ individuals
This has helped inform us what more we can be to support LGBTQIA+ people and inclusive employers.
We also want to thank everyone who attended for sharing their experiences
