About Us
Upskill works with people affected by mental health challenges to achieve their vocational goals. As a service, we can support you to find pathways to training and volunteering opportunities needed to develop skills essential for future employment and wellbeing. As a service, we recognise the importance of development personally and professionally, particularly during recovery.
We support you to access volunteering, apprenticeships, work experience placements and find free accredited training opportunities. In some instances, we can provide partial funding for courses.
We also provide social support for Over 50s in the Tower Hamlets area working alongside Age Uk to provide workshops and other activities.

Where is the UpSkill service based?The UpSkill service is based in Tower Hamlets. As a service however, we can support a limited number of people based outside the borough.

Is there a cost for using any of the services?The service is completely free.

Does accessing the service impact benefit entitlements?Accessing the UpSkill service does not impact benefit entitlements.

Does it matter how long I’ve has been unemployed for?We can support you regardless of how long they have been unemployed.

Can the service support refugees and asylum seekers?The service can support people regardless of their status.
