April is Autism Acceptance Month and we’re thinking of how even over the course of a year so much as changed when it comes to Autism. At the Trust we work with neurodivergent people on their employment journey hard at work supporting people with Autism overcome those barriers.

Our Kingston Supported Employment Team was recently nominated for Best Small Team at the 2025 BASE Awards and for good reason. A testament to all the amazing work we do supporting people with Autism in the Royal Borough of Kingston and ensuring local residents can find jobs that are right for them and on their terms.

With only 30% of autisitc people in employment our teams work hard to ensure if you come to our organsation for support you’ll get a service that works with you as well as for you. We think of clients such as FG* who came to the service struggling with their Employment and needing support to make the role right for them.

Another recent change for people with Autism is the expansion of the Disabled Persons Railcard which will offer more freedom for Neurodivergent people to travel. With that will come new possibilities to find the employment opportunities right for them. It’s something we highly encourage people to look into. You can find out more about how to apply on the offical Railcard Website here
