2 Weeks ago by Jason Armstrong
A new mental health hub has officially opened its doors in Bethnal Green as part of a trial to support those with mental health needs. Offering a variety of services to support local residents including Employment Support which our Upskill and Tower Hamlets IPS services are part of.
The Barnsley Street Neighbourhood Mental Hub is a community-based mental health service offering Bethnal Green residents support in a safe and welcoming environment.
The project involves numerous partners including Look Ahead Care and Support, East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) and others. We’re very excited to work alongside all of them to better support local residents on their employment journey.
Helen Forster, Chief Executive, Working Well Trust: “We’re honoured and excited to be part of this amazing new addition to Bethnal Green services. Being able to support residents on their Employment Journey in a supported and welcoming environment will only do wonders for the community as a whole.”
Adam Achour- Upskill Employment Worker Barnsley Street Project: “It’s something we’ve all waited for, for a long time. A lot of hard work had been put into the Barnsley Street project, so it was lovely to see everyone and so many smiling faces. The mood was warm, feeling like a family gathering and I think this reflects the people who are working in this collaboration.”
