About our Employment Support services

For many, having a job and being involved in the local community is important to mental wellbeing, with work (paid or volunteering), helping people to feel good about themselves. 

At Working Well, we support clients re-build their career, and/or start new ones, at a pace that suits them. Our trained staff work collaboratively with clients to find training and other opportunities to build new skills and confidence, as well as support clients with finding and applying for roles that interest them. We working with clients at every stage.

  • Where are Back to Work services available?
    At Working Well, we have established services based in Enfield, Kingston and Tower Hamlets.  
  • Is there a cost for using any of the services?
    All our services are completely free for clients to access 
  • What does IPS Mean?
    IPS stands for Individual Placement Support. IPS is an employment support model based on evidence of what works to support individuals with mental health to find and retain employment. For more information on IPS please visit: https://ipsgrow.org.uk/about/what-is-ips/ 
  • What if a client doesn’t feel ready to work? 
    Our UpSkill team supports clients to find training and volunteering opportunities needed to develop the skills essential for future employment and wellbeing. This can include partial funding for courses, support to access volunteering, apprenticeships, work experience placements, or finding free accredited training opportunities. 
  • When happens when a client finds employment, volunteering or training?
    Clients are supported to maintain their employment, volunteering or training, and will be able to explore next steps with their worker.
  • What happens if a client is unhappy with the service?
    At Working Well Trust we aim to provide a quality service.  However, if you are unhappy with the service you have received or how you were treated by Working Well staff you have a right to complain.  All complaints will be treated with the utmost seriousness and we aim to resolve any problem as quickly as possible.  The Working Well Trust’s complaints procedure is applicable to clients, staff, trustees, other organisations or individuals.
